Coming in August

August 23rd, 7:00pm - We will be honored to have the Maine based gospel group, The Campbells, performing in concert at Christ Chapel. This nationally known gospel family has toured across the nation for many years. They have also ministered internationally, including trips to India, to spread the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ to hundreds of hungry baby Christians, including dozens of clergy there. Leo Campbell is the Father and Patriarch of this long-time musical family. The current edition of The Campbells consist of Father Leo Campbell (vocals & trumpet) and his daughters Cindy and Naomi (vocals), plus newest member Scott Alan Brunt (bass singer & bus driver), plus Cindy’s husband Bill Frith– the group’s setup and sound-system man.

The Campbells tour year-round, doing hundreds of gospel music concerts across the country. The third Friday of each August, they host an incredible 6 hours of some of the best of Gospel performers in the USA, right here in Maine, at the Messalonski Performing Arts Center in Oakland, Maine. Since that will be August 15th this year, they will be all warmed up by the time they join us August 23rd at Christ Chapel. Please keep Saturday August 23rd, 7-8pm (or so) open for this terrific evening of professional gospel music that is written & sung all to the glory of God.
